Mohali resident Simranjit Singh Mann, who has been raising his voice against gangsters and criminals, has received death threats from Pakistan.
A youth who made a video has asked him to contact Indian gangsters regarding a payment of ₹30 lakh.
Mann held a press conference and gave a four-day ultimatum to the Mohali administration, saying that the police must take action against the person who sent the video, otherwise he will stage a protest in front of the Mohali administration.
S.A.S.Nagar 10 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Mohali district resident Simranjit Singh Mann has submitted a written complaint to the Mohali SSP and, through an organized press conference, has appealed for protection of his life. However, while answering media questions at a press conference held at the Mohali Press Club, Mann said that he is not someone who will be intimidated by any gangster or by people who make videos and issue death threats. But it is the duty of the Mohali administration that if anyone threatens someone in this manner, strict action must be taken against them.
Mann alleged that even earlier he has received such death threats multiple times, and he has been informing the concerned police authorities from time to time. Surprisingly, on one hand, in a recent reconnaissance (recon) case, the Haryana Police fully supported him and provided security from Ambala to Mohali, while on the other hand, the Mohali Police appears to be ignoring the matter. Therefore, if after submitting the complaint anything happens to him or his family, the Punjab Government and the Mohali administration will be responsible.
What is the whole matter?
Mohali:
Mohali district resident Simranjit Singh Mann has given a written complaint to the Mohali SSP stating that he is receiving death threats from two phone numbers—one from India and one from Pakistan. He alleges that a gangster named Shehzad Bhatti, while raising his voice in his own support, is talking about arranging weapons and other materials and offering ₹30 lakh to Indian gangsters to get Mann killed.
According to Mann, a youth from Pakistan made a video and sent it to him, talking about hiring gangsters to kill him. Mann has submitted this video along with evidence to the Mohali Police, and the police have said they are investigating the matter. Mann stated that gangster Shehzad Bhatti is a cowardly person who talks about his own security and cannot get anyone killed, but once the matter has come to the notice of the authorities and all evidence has been provided, it becomes the responsibility of the Mohali administration and the Punjab Government to bring such gangsters to India and not just take legal action against them, but to eliminate them so that they can neither commit such serious crimes nor even think of doing so in the future.
Mann has given a four-day ultimatum to the Mohali administration and warned that if, despite his repeated complaints, no action is taken this time as well and the matter is not treated seriously, he will sit on a protest in front of the Mohali administration.
