He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. The Ludhiana MP made a strong case for providing debt relief to the small and marginal farmers through one time settlement by waiving off their interests. Annual gathering held with reverence at Gurdwara Nanaksar Sahib

Chandigarh 15 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Like every year, this year too the 50th Gurudwara Nanaksar Sahib located in Sector 28, Chandigarh was celebrated. The annual congregation was celebrated. This annual congregation concluded in a very religious and simple manner. Baba Gurdev Singh said that the Sangat participated in the congregation with great enthusiasm. Baba Lakha Singh, who came from Nanaksar Kalera, delighted the Sangat with the words of Gurbani. Apart from this, Bhai Balwinder Singh Rangeela, Ragi Jagjit Singh from Darbar Sahib, Bhai Manpreet and Narendra Singh from Jagadhri, while Baljit Singh and Charanjit Singh Ragi from Gurdwara Sahib Sector 28 delighted the Sangat with Gurbani.

The congregation also participated in a blood donation camp. Around 50 people donated blood. The blood donation camp is held annually at the Gurdwara Sahib's annual gathering. A langar of bread, pakoras, tea, chole kulcha, and other items was also distributed, and a grand langar was held at the end of the event. From the very beginning, langar is not cooked in Nanaksar Gurdwara Sahib. The Sangat brings langar as per their wish and capacity and everyone enjoys it together. Religious and political personalities attended the gathering with their faith and devotion. 
Among them, Chandigarh city MP Manish Tewari, former MP and Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, Swaran Singh from Akali Dal, former councillor from Sector 28 Davinder Babla, current nominated councillor Dharmendra Saini, BJP leader Sanjay Tandon, Jaildar Ajay Singh former councillor from Panchkula and Saroj Gulati Majri from Panchkula etc. came to the gathering and enjoyed the Kirtan Darbar. Baba Gurdev Singh said that the world is suffering from the ravages of war. Our religion and path demand that peace and mutual brotherhood prevail in the world. Innocent lives should not be lost. Every person in the world should live a life of dignity and hard work. This is the philosophy of the sect and its responsibility to society. Baba Ji thanked the Sangat and prayed that next year's gathering would be filled with the same peace and enthusiasm.
