He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. Awareness program to promote kidney health
Ambala 13 March ( PDL ) : To mark World Kidney Day, an awareness program to promote kidney health and educate people about the importance of early detection and prevention of kidney diseases was held at Park Healing Touch Hospital, Ambala today. Speaking during the occasion, Dr Jyoti Agarwal, consultant nephrologist shared valuable insights about kidney diseases, their causes, symptoms, preventive measures and the importance of regular health check-ups.
She highlighted that kidney diseases often develop silently without noticeable symptoms in the early stages, which is why regular screening becomes extremely important, especially for individuals suffering from diabetes, hypertension, obesity, or those with a family history of kidney disease.During the event, the special emphasis was also laid on organ donation awareness. A poster making competition was also organized to spread awareness about kidney health and organ donation.
