He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. PGI Horticulture Wing Wins Overall Trophy at Vasant Utsav 2026 for Fifth Consecutive Year
Chandigarh 16 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Horticulture wing of the institute brought laurels to PGI by winning top position by getting 34 prizes and overall trophy in Vasant Utsav 2026 flower competition organized by PMDA at Town Park, Sector 5, Panchkula from 13.03.2026 to 15.03.2026.
The wing got 18 first prizes, 12 second prizes and 4 third prizes in Pot section and cut flower section. The wing won the overall trophy for the 5th consecutive year, which is also a record performance in the show by any competitor.
