Approaches High Court against illegal election of Chairperson/Vice Chairperson on orders of Bhagwant Mann government
Will ensure government and district officials are held accountable for illegal actions : Arshdeep Singh Kler
Chandigarh 16 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal today paraded all 14 members of Block Samiti Mansa out of a total of 25 where district officials illegally organised election of Chairperson and Vice Chairperson as per the orders of Bhagwant Mann led AAP government and also announced that the party has approached Punjab and Haryana High Court to get justice in the matter. Addressing a press conference here at party head office along with Mansa Incharge Prem Kumar, District President Balbir Singh and Spokesman KS Matharu, party’s Chief Spokesman Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kler said that it was surprising that Bhagwant Mann led AAP government was trying to capture local bodies with the illegal help of local civil and police officials. He said that earlier an audio of Patiala SSP Varun Sharma had went viral and the issue is under scrutiny and now Mansa district officials including DC Navjot Kaur, SSP Meena, ADC Anupreet Johal and SDM Harpreet Kaur have conducted an illegal election of Chairperson/Vice Chairperson of Block Samiti.
He said that on the other hand district administration announced that election of Chairperson/Vice Chairperson has been held unanimously as these 14 members were absent. He said that this illegal election was conducted in a room adjacent to a room where these members were locked. He said that SAD had not only filed a petition in the matter in Punjab and Haryana High Court but has also approached CJM Mansa to issue requisite directions to preserve CCTV footage from the premises on the said day i.e. 14 March.
He said that like many other matters AAP government led by Bhagwant Mann will bite the dust in the matter and they had full faith in judiciary that they will get justice. He said that when the AAP government has realised that people have started rejecting it, it was resorting to illegal misuse of officers. He also cautioned officers to not to fall prey to orders of this government which is just bound to be shunted out by the people.
