Bharat Vikas Parishad Chandigarh celebrated International Women's Day

Chandigarh 10 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : International Women's Day was celebrated by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Chandigarh. Chief guest Suman Sharma, Deputy Mayor, lit the lamp to begin the event. During the event, Bhavip honored women who have accomplished commendable work in various fields. These included the President of The Last Bencher and the Chairperson of the CRAFED Women's Wing. The names included Convener and Women Convener of Bhavip Sumita Kohli along with Poonam, Rinku Sinha, Reenu Mehndiratta, Sadhna Dubey, Sunita Arora, Prabha Maini, Seema Mahendru, Neena Mehta, Jaswinder Kaur, Radhika Bansal, Uma Singhal and Kanchan Saini etc.
In her address, Chief Guest Deputy Mayor Suman Sharma congratulated women on International Women's Day. She said that women have made a significant contribution to India. The women of the Bharat Vikas Parishad are also making significant contributions to a strong India. State President MK Virmani welcomed everyone and wished them a Happy Women's Day. Council General Secretary Manjit Singh provided information about the council. Councillor Rajinder Sharma wished everyone on this day.
Key speaker Geeta Tandon, former State President spoke about the contribution of women to the society and the contribution of Meena Rana, State Activity Coordinator, gave information about the work done for women's participation. She informed that about 1200 girls were given training in beautician and sewing. By running about five Sanskarshalas continuously in the state, they were connected with Indian culture. Rakesh Mohan Sehgal, former State President, AK Dutta, Director Diagnostic Center, told about the history of India and the contribution of women in the council. They encouraged women power to come forward and work to make Chandigarh state the best in India.
