Dispute in Mohali Housing Society Turns Violent ; Case Registered S.A.S.Nagar 26 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A dispute during a society meeting in Sector 79 escalated into violence, with allegations of assault against a member at a Housefed Society. According to the complaint filed by Dilpreet Singh, the General Secretary of the society, the incident took place on March 25 during a committee meeting at the society office. During the proceedings, committee member Gurvinder Singh joined the meeting and allegedly lost his temper amid a discussion. Dilpreet Singh stated that Gurvinder Singh stopped him mid-discussion, verbally abused him in front of other members, and then physically assaulted him. During the altercation, the accused reportedly struck his face with a sharp object and punched him on the head. He also allegedly issued death threats.
