Murder Case Must Be Registered Against Former Minister Bhullar; CBI Probe Needed : Tarun Chugh
Gagandeep Singh Randhawa’s Death Exposes the Dark Truth of AAP’s ‘Corruption, Loot and Extortion Model’ : Chugh
Serious Questions on Bhagwant Mann Government; Corruption Institutionalised in Punjab : Chugh
Chandigarh 22 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh described the death of Punjab Warehousing Corporation District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa in Amritsar as deeply tragic and shocking, stating that it is not merely the loss of a life but a grim reflection of the politics of fear, corruption, and systemic pressure prevailing under the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab.
Chugh said that the manner in which a government officer was allegedly summoned to a minister’s residence, physically assaulted, threatened with death, and coerced into a fabricated bribery case clearly establishes that governance under the Bhagwant Mann government is being driven not by law, but by fear, intimidation, and coercion.
He alleged that AAP leaders and ministers have woven a widespread network of extortion across Punjab. From officers to businessmen, no one remains untouched by this pressure-driven system. Those who refuse to become part of this незаконal extortion machinery are subjected to harassment, threats, violence, and false cases.
Chugh further stated that this incident clearly demonstrates that corruption in Punjab is no longer an exception but has become institutionalised under the AAP regime. From the highest levels of power to the grassroots, an ecosystem of fear and forced compliance has been created where honesty is punished and resistance is crushed. Questioning AAP leadership, including Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Chugh asked whether this is their definition of transparent and honest governance. He further questioned whether officers in Punjab will now have to risk their lives simply to perform their duties, and whether the entire administrative machinery has been reduced to serving the interests of Kejriwal and his inner circle.
Chugh demanded that this case must not be treated merely as abetment to suicide, but a murder case must be registered against former minister Bhullar to ensure that the truth comes out and the guilty are given the strictest punishment. He also called for an immediate arrest of the accused and a fair and independent probe by the CBI. He asserted that the BJP will raise this issue with full force and will continue its fight at every level to ensure justice for the victim’s family.
