Criminals Run Amok in Dadu Majra Colony; Fear of Police Has Vanished : Narendra Chaudhary Chandigarh 21 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Chandigarh, Law and order in Dadu Majra Colony has completely collapsed, and criminals have become emboldened. In a recent incident, a chain-snatcher snatched a gold chain from the neck of Maya Devi—a woman sitting outside her home—and fled the scene. The incident was immediately reported to the PCR, but the culprit remains at large. MY Bharat to organise youth-led activities under to mark Shaheedi Diwas 2026

Chandigarh 21 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In solemn remembrance of the unparalleled sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev, and Shaheed Rajguru, MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, is organizing a series of impactful youth-led activities under the theme “MY BHARAT, MY RESPONSIBILITY” to mark Shaheedi Diwas 2026. The initiative aims to ignite the spirit of patriotism, civic responsibility, and active nation-building among the youth by encouraging their participation in meaningful activities that reflect the ideals of the great martyrs.

As part of the observance, the following key events are being organized in Chandigarh:

● Online Quiz on MY Bharat Portal – A nationwide quiz to enhance awareness about India’s freedom struggle and the legacy of our martyrs.

● Reel Competition – “Ek Yuva Aisa Bhi” – A creative platform to inspire youth, where they can express their sense of patriotism and responsibility.

● Shramdaan (Cleanliness Drive) at Sector 42 Lake on 22nd March 2026, 10:00 AM in association with Global Youth Federation to promote the spirit of “Seva se Samman”, youth volunteers will undertake cleanliness activities as a tribute to the martyrs.

● Padyatra (Walk for the Nation - Mega Tiranga & Mashal Yatra) at Sector 17 Plaza on 23rd March 2026, 4:00 PM in association with KartavyaNisth Yuva. A symbolic march to honour the courage, sacrifice, and ideals of the martyrs, inspiring youth to walk on the path of nation-building.

These initiatives are designed not only to commemorate history but also to empower today’s youth to become responsible citizens and torchbearers of India’s future. MY Bharat calls upon all young citizens to actively participate and contribute towards building a stronger, cleaner, and more responsible nation. Let us not just remember their sacrifice, but live their ideals.
