Strengthening Infrastructure in Village Atawa: Paving Block Work Inaugurated
Chandigarh 24 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Today, the construction work involving the laying of paving blocks and PCC tiles on the 'Phirni Road' (perimeter road) of Village Atawa was formally inaugurated. This development project is set to play a pivotal role in further strengthening the village's infrastructure and enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The installation of paving blocks will facilitate smoother commuting for local residents and provide improved arrangements for vehicle parking, thereby bringing about a positive transformation in the overall appearance of the village.
Former Senior Deputy Mayor and Area Councilor, Jasbir Singh Bunty, along with Tarlochan Singh Bunty, attended the event as chief guests. They formally launched the project by breaking a coconut. Several other prominent citizens of Atawa were also present on this occasion.
Speaking at the event, SDO Sahil informed the gathering that this project is being executed at an estimated cost of approximately ₹16 lakhs and is scheduled to be completed within one month. Meanwhile, Councilor Jasbir Singh Bunty gave an assurance that no effort would be spared in ensuring the continued development and betterment of the village. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including JE Suresh Chand, Supervisor Bhuvnesh Bhatti, Raj Kumar Sharma, Pawan Singla, Davinder Kumar, and Ashok Kumar.
