Dispute in Mohali Housing Society Turns Violent ; Case Registered S.A.S.Nagar 26 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A dispute during a society meeting in Sector 79 escalated into violence, with allegations of assault against a member at a Housefed Society. According to the complaint filed by Dilpreet Singh, the General Secretary of the society, the incident took place on March 25 during a committee meeting at the society office. During the proceedings, committee member Gurvinder Singh joined the meeting and allegedly lost his temper amid a discussion. Dilpreet Singh stated that Gurvinder Singh stopped him mid-discussion, verbally abused him in front of other members, and then physically assaulted him. During the altercation, the accused reportedly struck his face with a sharp object and punched him on the head. He also allegedly issued death threats. Warring calls for fixing responsibility over Verka lapse
Calls it is criminal negligence that tarnished prestigious brand
Chandigarh 26 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today called for a high level probe into the serious lapse that has led to compromising the quality of the Verka milk products and the Indian Army rejecting it.
Reacting to the reports of the Indian Army having rejected the Verka products over serious quality concerns, Warring said, the matter must be thoroughly probed, responsibility fixed and guilty punished. “This is a serious criminal negligence that has tarnished the image of one of the prestigious brands of our state”, he remarked.
The PCC president also wanted a statement from the government for the reasons of the Indian Army rejecting the Verka milk products. He also asked what was done with the rejected stock and whether it was supplied to the common public, which again is a serious criminal lapse.
Warring noted that this is a said and ugly episode that reflects badly on the functioning of the Aam Aadmi Party government so much so a premium brand that is identified with Punjab has been questioned for its quality. “They have destroyed everything in Punjab and the Verka brand is only one in the series”, he remarked.
