Chandigarh 3 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In a unique initiative, the residents of Chandigarh Sector 40-A celebrated the festival of Holi together with great enthusiasm and zeal. More than 250 residents participated in this mega event. During this event, everyone celebrated Holi by painting each other with colours and later, they made a splash with a good mix of Punjabi songs on the DJ and turned this special evening into a memorable community gathering with laughter and games.In today's busy lifestyle, where people often struggle to find time for themselves and their neighbours, the residents of Sector 40-A proved that unity and brotherhood are still alive today. Due to the efforts and contributions of all the residents, a successful and grand Holi celebration was organized, which turned out to be a pure family event. People of all age groups participated wholeheartedly in the event.
The celebrations began with the residents showering each other with colours, which symbolizes love, harmony and new beginnings. A selfie point specially designed for couples made the event even more interesting, giving families and friends an opportunity to capture beautiful memories. Lal Caterer served delicious snacks and a sumptuous dinner, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. During this, women, children and men performed Giddha and Bhangra on popular Punjabi songs, creating a festive atmosphere. Apart from this, the children also showed their dance performances, which were appreciated by the audience present with applause.
This program truly proved to be a platform where every generation celebrated together. Senior residents of the sector Suba Singh, Kishanjit Singh, Dalwinder Saini, Ashok Garg and Anil Arora etc. appreciated the excellent arrangements and congratulated the organizing team. The group members led by Poonam Garg, Karuna Mishra, Rachna Goyal played a leading role by forming a WhatsApp group of the residents of the area and coordinating the preparations for the entire event in a very smooth manner. The successful celebrations of this program not only strengthened the ties among the residents of the sector but also inspired the residents to celebrate more festivals together in the future. This memorable evening concluded with dinner and sweets, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and this Holi event came to an end spreading beautiful memories.
