Livasa Hospital gives new lease of life to Bathinda brain stroke patient Bathinda 20 August ( PDL ) : A 56-year-old male acute ischemic stroke patient from Bathinda got a new lease of life after a successful treatment with advanced mechanical thrombectomy at Livasa Hospital, Mohali. Giving information during a press conference at Bathinda on Thursday,  Dr. Vineet Saggar, director–neuro & spine surgeon and head neuro-interventions at Livasa Hospital Mohali said that the patient had a major blockage in a blood vessel supplying the brain. Two aged Panchkula heart patients get new lease of life after protected PCI at Livasa Hospital Mohali Panchkula 19 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Two aged Panchkula patients with life-threatening heart conditions got a new lease of life after the successful protected angioplasty with stenting (PCI) at Livasa Hospital Mohali. Giving information during a press conference at Panchkula on Wednesday,  Dr Harinder K Bali, Chairman – Cardiac Sciences, Livasa Hospitals said that Impella, the world’s smallest mechanical heart pump, was used to provide temporary circulatory support during these complex procedures. Swallowed denture removed from food pipe with advanced therapeutic endoscopy Khanna 29 June ( PDL ) : A swallowed denture, lodged in a patient's food pipe was removed by doctors at Livasa Hospital Khanna through an advanced therapeutic endoscopy by preventing the need for surgical intervention. A 45-year-old male patient was brought to Livasa  with an accidental denture ingestion.  Upon evaluation, an urgent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy was performed by Dr. Pulkit Dhiman, consultant gastroenterologist, which revealed the denture impacted in the mid-esophagus (food pipe). ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ ਨੇ ਅਤਿ-ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਪੀਈਟੀ-ਸੀਟੀ  ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ 16 ਜੂਨ ( ਰਣਜੀਤ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ) : ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ  ਡਾ. ਸੰਗੀਤਾ ਜੈਨ ਨੇ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਵਾਸਾ ਮੈਡ ਸੈਂਟਰ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਅਤਿ-ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਪੀਈਟੀ-ਸੀਟੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਲਿਵਾਸਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਸੀਈਓ ਅਨੁਰਾਗ ਯਾਦਵ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਤੇਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਸਹੀ ਨਿਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਬਣਾਏਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਇਲਾਜ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੇ ਜੋੜ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਵਾਸਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਓਨਕੋਲੋਜੀ ਈਕੋਸਿਸਟਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਉੱਨਤ ਡਾਇਗਨੌਸਟਿਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।  ਪੀਈਟੀ-ਸੀਟੀ ਇਮੇਜਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਕਲੀਨਿਕਲ ਮਹੱਤਵ 'ਤੇ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਡਾ. ਅਨੁਪਮ ਗੌਬਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਪੀਈਟੀ-ਸੀਟੀ ਨੇ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਟਿਊਮਰ ਦੀ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਚਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਖੋਜ, ਸਹੀ ਸਟੇਜਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਦੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
