Complex peripheral vascular bypass performed at Shalby Hospital Mohali Chandigarh 10 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A complex lower extremity peripheral vascular bypass on 68-year-old was performed successfully at Shalby Hospital Mohali recently. Iqbal Singh, a retired army personnel, was presented with advanced peripheral vascular disease (PVD) and critical limb ischemia. Canada resident undergoes robotic knee replacement surgery at Shalby Hospital, Mohali Chandigarh 27 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A 74 years Canada resident underwent a successful robotic knee replacement surgery at Shalby Hospital, Mohali. The surgery helped to restore the patient's mobility, who was wheelchair-bound for nearly three years after suffering advanced bilateral knee osteoarthritis, severe deformity, and long-standing loss of mobility.The patient had approached Shalby Hospital after facing a long waiting period for staged knee replacement surgery in Canada. ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੈਲਬੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕ ਗੋਡੇ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ  ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ 27 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ( ਰਣਜੀਤ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ) : 74 ਸਾਲਾ  ਕੈਨੇਡਾ  ਨਿਵਾਸੀ, ਜੋ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਵ੍ਹੀਲਚੇਅਰ 'ਤੇ ਸੀ,  ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੈਲਬੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕ ਗੋਡੇ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ । ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੋਡੇ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਲਈ ਲੰਬੇ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼ੈਲਬੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ। ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ - ਆਰਥੋ , ਸ਼ੈਲਬੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ, ਡਾ. ਪ੍ਰਦੀਪ ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਗੋਡਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਨੁਕਸ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਸਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੇਸ ਗੁੰਝਲਦਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਰਜੀਕਲ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ।  ਡਾ. ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਨੇ ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕ ਗੋਡੇ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਦੇ 24 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ-ਅੰਦਰ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਜਨਕ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ। ਡਾ. ਅਗਰਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰੋਬੋਟਿਕ-ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਗੋਡੇ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੀ ਸਰਜਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਪਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਰਜੀਕਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁੰਝਲਦਾਰ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਅਲਾਈਨਮੈਂਟ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ-ਆਰਥੋ, ਡਾ ਅਕਸ਼ਤ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਵਾਸਤਵ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ,...

World Liver Day Free liver health screenings at Shalby Hospital S.A.S.Nagar 18 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : To mark World Liver Day , Shalby Hospital Mohali on Saturday launched an awareness drive on fatty liver diseases. Under drive, the hospital is offering free liver health screenings on every Saturday with discounted fibroscan. Dr. Rahul Gupta, Senior Hepatologist at Shalby Hospital Mohali said, “Driven by sedentary lifestyles, poor diets, obesity, diabetes, and dyslipidemia, the fatty liver conditions are surging across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Chandigarh. Dr. Gupta further said, “ Liver disease is the silent killer striking Punjab hardest. In Punjab alone, over 40% of urban adults now show fatty liver on ultrasound, up from 25% a decade ago. With 15 million diabetics statewide, we're seeing MASLD in 70% of them. ਵਿਸ਼ਵ  ਲਿਵਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਸ਼ੈਲਬੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ  ਲਿਵਰ  ਸਿਹਤ ਜਾਂਚ  ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ 18 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ( ਰਣਜੀਤ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ) : ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਲਿਵਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਸ਼ੈਲਬੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਟੀ ਲਿਵਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ, ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੋਟ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਦਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਫਾਈਬਰੋਸਕੈਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਲਿਵਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਜਾਂਚ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।  ਸ਼ੈਲਬੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਹੈਪੇਟੋਲੋਜਿਸਟ ਡਾ. ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਆਲਸੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ, ਮਾੜੀ ਖੁਰਾਕ, ਮੋਟਾਪਾ, ਸ਼ੂਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਸਲਿਪੀਡੀਮੀਆ ਕਾਰਨ, ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਹਰਿਆਣਾ, ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਜੰਮੂ ਅਤੇ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਟੀ  ਲਿਵਰ  ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਡਾ. ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ ਲਿਵਰ  ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਇੱਕ   ਖਮੋਸ਼  ਕਾਤਲ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਕੱਲੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ, 40% ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਬਾਲਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਲਟਰਾਸਾਊਂਡ 'ਤੇ ਫੈਟੀ ਲਿਵਰ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 25% ਸੀ। ਰਾਜ ਭਰ ਦੇ 15 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਸ਼ੂਗਰ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 70% ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਟੀ ਲਿਵਰ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਚਲੀਆ ਹੈ,"  ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਫਾਈਬਰੋਸਕੈਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸ...
