With Sacrilege Law becoming more stringent, hope AAP takes action : Warring Chandigarh 19 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today welcomed the Governor’s assent to the Jagat Jyot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Amendment Act 2026. He hoped that the Aam Aadmi Party government will now fulfill its promise to punish the guilty of sacrilege in Behbal Kalan and the subsequent events. The PCC president reiterated that the passing of the act was a delaying tactic by the AAP government. “Now with the Governor having granted assent to the law, the AAP is not left with any excuse any more”, he said, adding, there are still about nine more months of the government’s tenure left. If the government really has any sincere intention to punish the guilty, let it make a beginning now.
EPIC 2026 - National Conference of Specialist Doctors takes off
Chandigarh 17 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A prestigious two-day national conference titled EPIC – Empowering Physicians with International Standard Care Practices took off here today with a pre-conference workshop. The theme of the conference is “Bridging Science, Practice & Future Therapies”. Around 800–1000 specialist doctors from across the country are participating.
The conference is being organized by the Society for Welfare, Education and Endocrinology, Thyroid and Diabetes, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to medical education and healthcare advancement. A highly successful pre-conference workshop on Mind-Body Medicine was conducted by noted experts Dr. Vaishali Deshmukh, Dr. Sanjay Phadke, and Dr. Leena Phadke.The main conference will focus on the latest advancements in Obesity, Diabetes, Insulin Pump, Nutrition, and Women’s Health. It will feature scientific sessions, panel discussions, and keynote addresses by eminent speakers from across India. Dr. Sachin Mittal, Organizing Secretary, played a key role in conceptualizing and organizing this important academic event.
