Why did the Bhagwant Mann government follow “R.C.’s” orders?
Chandigarh 06 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In a scathing statement issued today, Hardev Singh Ubha, the State Press Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab, leveled serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stating that during Raghav Chadha's tenure as the Chairman of the Delhi Jal Board, reports of alleged scams worth crores of rupees had surfaced. He asserted that this matter is not confined solely to Delhi; rather, allegations of large-scale financial transactions and irregularities in Punjab have also become a subject of widespread public discussion.
Ubha stated that the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government and the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party are misleading the public in the name of transparency. He pointed out that, at one stage, it was widely rumored that during the formulation of key decisions in Punjab, phrases such as "This is R.C.'s order" were commonplace—a situation that raises serious questions regarding external interference in the state's administration.
Raising further grave concerns, he alleged that numerous key appointments and transfers within Punjab—including those of IAS and IPS officers—were reportedly being executed under the directive of external orders. If these allegations hold true, it poses a matter of grave concern for the administrative autonomy of Punjab. Ubha posed the question: If Raghav Chadha previously played a pivotal role in the government's decision-making process, why is a sudden distance now being maintained from him? Is this shift driven by issues involving large-scale financial transactions or internal conflicts?
He demanded that a high-level, impartial, and time-bound inquiry be instituted into this entire affair so that the truth may come to light and strict action can be taken against anyone found guilty. He further asserted that no form of deception against the people of Punjab would be tolerated. If the government is truly committed to transparency, it should have no reason to fear an investigation. In conclusion, Ubha affirmed that the BJP remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the rights of the people and will continue its relentless battle against corruption.
