Big Boost for Akali Dal, Janta Dal Secular led by HD Deve Gowda extends unconditional support to the party

Chandigarh 21 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Akali Dal received a big shot in the arm for 2027 elections when former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda led Janta Dal Secular extended unconditional support for the party. In a meeting with Senior party leader and former Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, party’s state President Master Avtar Singh and other leaders handed over letter of unconditional support to the Akali Dal.

In the letter it was stated that former PM HD Deve Gowda has great regard for former Punjab Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal who led from front against Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi in the country. It was stated that contribution of S. Parkash Singh Badal for safeguarding river waters of Punjab, democracy in the country and his commitment for more rights to the states and implementation of true federal structure will always be remembered. Janta Dal Secular leadership extended unconditional support for the party.

Thanking party for this support, Dr. Cheema said that SAD was committed for working for welfare of the people on the principles taught by our Guru Sahiban on which S. Parkash Singh Badal always worked. He said that party has always remained committed for implementation of true federal structure in the country empowering the states which will ultimately strengthen the country.
