Livasa Hospitals starts oncology OPD at Kurukshetra
Kurukshetra 09 April ( PDL ) : Livasa Hospital on Thursday has announced the launch of a dedicated oncology OPD and outreach schedule at Kurukshetra. The oncology experts from Livasa including Dr. Jatin Sarin, director-medical oncology, Dr. Meenakshi Mittal, director-radiation oncology and Dr. Vijay Bansal, director-surgical oncology from Livasa will be available for OPD at BS Heart Care Hospital, Kurukshetra on 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month.
Addressing a press conference at BS Heart Care Hospital, Kurukshetra , Dr. Jatin Sarin highlighted that symptoms such as unexplained weight loss, persistent fatigue, lumps or swelling, abnormal bleeding, blood in stool or urine, and non-healing wounds should never be ignored, as early detection significantly improves survival outcomes. Dr. Vijay Bansal said that surgery, when performed at the right stage, can be curative in many cancers.
Dr. Abhishek Garg, facility director-Livasa Hospitals, Mohali said that extending expert oncology services at Kurukshetra ensures structured, seamless, and patient-centric care closer to home. A free oncology consultation camp was also organized today. It was aimed at encouraging early screening, spreading awareness about cancer warning signs, and enabling timely medical intervention.
