Massive Protest by JTA for Justice to 2015 Batch Teachers at Sector 20 Masjid Ground Chandigarh 31 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Thousands of teachers from Punjab, Haryana, UT Chandigarh, SSA, and Computer Cadres assembled today at Masjid Ground, Sector 20, Chandigarh, under the banner of the Joint Teachers Association (JTA) to demand long-awaited justice for the 2015 batch teachers, whose confirmation and financial benefits remain pending despite a clear judgment by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). The peaceful protest began at 5:45 PM and saw wide participation from across teaching cadres, united in their call for immediate implementation of the CAT order. Teachers expressed serious concern over the continued delay by the Chandigarh Administration, especially when HCS officers of 2002 and 2004 batch in Haryana have been promoted through UPSC despite pending legal cases, exposing a pattern of discrimination and disregard for judicial directives. CGST Ludhiana Busted GST evasion of Rs. 62 Cr; 2 Arrests made so far Ludhiana 31 July ( PDL ) : Based on specific intelligence, Central GST Ludhiana conducted an investigation against multiple firms in the field of Audio-Video productions and unearthed GST evasion worth Rs.62 Crores. Prima facie it appears that these firms have imported services worth Rs.342 Crores from overseas entities and evaded GST on the same. Investigation further reveals that they haven’t followed any documentation process mandated as per GST laws, which shows the blatant nature of tax evasion. The two individuals who are involved in creating and operating these multiple firms have been arrested yesterday, i.e., on 30. July 2025. With the two arrests made so far in this case, the investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the network and quantum of GST evasion involved. ਸੀਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇ 62 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ; ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਦੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ 31 ਜੁਲਾਈ ( ਪੀ ਡੀ ਐਲ ) : ਖਾਸ ਖੁਫੀਆ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ, ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਡੀਓ-ਵੀਡੀਓ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਫਰਮਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 62 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਦਾ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਰਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ 342 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਆਯਾਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਦਾ ਭੁਗਤਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਰਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਟੈਕਸ ਚੋਰੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਬੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਦੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ, ਯਾਨੀ 30 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਇਸ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਲੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਰਕਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਚ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਸੀਜੀਐਸਟੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਟੈਕਸਦਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ...

Chandigarh students document Tibetans living in exile in Dharamshala Write articles and make a documentary under the 'Capstone Project' Chandigarh 30 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A group of students from Chandigarh spent a week researching the life of Tibetans living in Dharamshala. The students wrote pertinent articles and also made a video documentary to unravel how the Tibetans are trying their best to uphold their rich traditions and civilization after being ousted from Tibet by the repressive Chinese regime. The work of the students was supported by Edu Sensei, an education consultancy, and Kigen Academy, which specializes in project-based learning and examination services.
