The legacy of taste reaches Tricity: Heera Sweets opens new outlet in S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali)
S.A.S.Nagar 31 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Hira Sweets, the traditional identity of Indian sweets for over a hundred years, is now closer to the sweet lovers of the Tricity. Its new outlet was inaugurated in a grand manner today at Sector 80, Airport Road, S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali). Although their outlet in Connaught Place (Delhi) opened in 2012, Hira Sweets was founded in 1912 in Shahdara by Pandit Hira Lal Sharma. From that time till date, this brand is known in North India for its famous traditional sweets like Balushahi, Pista Barfi, Gajar Da Halwa, Motichoor Laddu. Now this legacy is being carried forward by the next generation of the family of the late Ram Babu Sharma – a famous Congress leader of Delhi and the first owner of this place. On the occasion of the inauguration, there was a recitation of Sukhmani Sahib, a ritual tasting of traditional sweets, and a warm welcome to the residents of S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali). On this occasion, brand spokesperson Anjandeep Singh said, “We are not just offering sweets, but bringing a legacy of taste and trust that is more than a century old. S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali) is a vibrant and rapidly developing market, and we are very excited to be a part of it.”
