Chandigarh 20 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said attempts by the ruling Aam Admi Party (AAP) to spread a false narrative regarding Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s deposition at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and its attempt to stage dharnas against the Shiromani Akali Dal had boomeranged. Addressing a press conference here, SAD Chief Spokesman Arshdeep Singh Kler said AAP had attempted to gherao and stage protest at district headquarters of the SAD but its attempts failed miserably as they could not muster support of requisite numbers despite help from the police force. He said the videos emerging from different districts of the state had made it clear that only a meagre number of AAP workers assembled on the call of the party making the entire attempt a flop show. Chandigarh 31 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Parambans Singh Romana today told Dakha legislator Manpreet Singh Ayali not to misuse the name of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to cover up his illegalities and challenged him to show one registry or electricity bill to prove Ananta Enclave in Ludhiana pre-existed 2018 as claimed by him to get it regularised in the back date. Telling Manpreet Ayali clearly not to beat around the bush by embroiling the pious Takht in matters concerning illegalities in regularising his 28 acre unauthorised colony in back date during Congress rule as well as succeeding in keeping his land out of the land pooling scheme now under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, Parambans Romana asserted Ayali would have to clarify the illegalities committed by him instead of trying to politicise the issue. “He has sold the rights of the poor farmers to protect his land parcels and is now invoking Sri Akal Takht to get away with this anti- farmer act”. The SAD leader also exposed Ayali who claimed yesterday that he had not opposed the land pooling scheme as he did not want to give the impression that he was trying to save his own land from acquisition. “Farmers across the State are on the roads. How can Ayali escape his responsibility as a public representative on such flimsy grounds?”, Romana asked. He also stated that the truth of the matter was that Ayali had succumbed to pressure from chief minister Bhagwant Mann who had clearly stated that he had a list of all illegal activities of the MLA. “This is the real reason that he is silent and has deserted the cause of the farming community”, the SAD leader said while asking Ayali to challenge the chief minister and state he was ready to get his colony bulldozed if it was illegal. Asserting that Manpreet Ayali was lying by claiming his colony existed prior to 2018, Parambans Romana said “then why has the leader not given any proof his colony existed before 2018 when the Congress government came out with a scheme to regularise illegal colonies?” He also castigated Ayali for stating that google images which had shown there was no development at the Ananta Enclave site till 2020 were not updated regularly. “I would like to inform the MLA that Google updates its maps and images twice a year”. Romana also took Ayali to task for lying that the land in Mastile number 71 did not belong to him or his family. “The MLA should have read out the entire fard which lists out Parminder Singh s/o Darshan Singh / Ms Ayali colonisers and developers as the owners of the land. Ayali read out only the names of private people with the motive to prove me wrong but he has no legs to stand on in this case”, the SAD leader added.
