"One tree in the name of mother" tree plantation drive organized in GMHS 42
Chandigarh 31 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : With the aim of environmental awareness, increasing green cover and respect for mothers, plantation of trees was done at Government Model High School, Sector 42, under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” by the Eco Club of the school. On this occasion, Surinder Kaur, mother of Senior Deputy Mayor of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and Councillor of Ward 24, Jasbir Singh Bunty, was the chief guest of the function. On this occasion, Senior Deputy Mayor and Councillor of Ward 24 Jasbir Singh Bunty and ASI in-charge Rajesh along with school Principal Navdeep Kaur and teachers were also present.
The distinguished guests and Principal Navdeep Kaur, staff and students of GMHS 42 paid tributes to Shaheed Udham Singh on his Martyrdom Day and inspired the students to promote patriotism and respect our freedom fighters.
