RWA Sector 18 held a meeting with police officials regarding security in Sector 18 Chandigarh 19 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : An important meeting was held at the Sector 18 Community Center on Saturday, September 19th, to discuss the security situation in the area and the concerns of residents. DSP-East P Abhinandan and Sector 19 Police Station in-charge Sarita Roy were special guests at the meeting. Organized under the auspices of RWA Sector 18 official Harman Mehta, the event was attended by Dr. Rajneesh Sharma, President of RWA Sector 18 A and B, and officials Sandhya Dharam, Sandhya Dham, and Harmel Singh, President of RWA Sector 18 D, and Harinder Bhatti, along with area councilors Anoop Gupta and Sumita Kohli, among others. CGST Ludhiana Busted GST evasion of Rs. 62 Cr; 2 Arrests made so far
Ludhiana 31 July ( PDL ) : Based on specific intelligence, Central GST Ludhiana conducted an investigation against multiple firms in the field of Audio-Video productions and unearthed GST evasion worth Rs.62 Crores. Prima facie it appears that these firms have imported services worth Rs.342 Crores from overseas entities and evaded GST on the same. Investigation further reveals that they haven’t followed any documentation process mandated as per GST laws, which shows the blatant nature of tax evasion. The two individuals who are involved in creating and operating these multiple firms have been arrested yesterday, i.e., on 30. July 2025. With the two arrests made so far in this case, the investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the network and quantum of GST evasion involved. The CGST Ludhiana Commissionerate reaffirms its commitment to detecting tax frauds and thus ensuring level playing field for honest taxpayers.
