Free Medical Health Check-up Camp Organized in Chandigarh
Chandigarh 26 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A comprehensive medical health check-up camp was successfully conducted at Gurudwara Sahib Ramdarbar, under the guidance of Sahkar Bharati Chandigarh Pradesh and Hamara Parivar Chandigarh Unit, with the support of Lyness Service Organisation. The camp, held from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, offered a wide range of free diagnostic services including blood sugar testing, blood pressure monitoring, ECG, anemia detection, and cancer screening for women. All services were provided free of cost and were open to the general public.
The initiative witnessed strong community involvement, with around 400 persons attending the camp. The large turnout reinforced the importance of preventive healthcare and collective responsibility towards public well-being. A highlight of the camp was the introduction of a new non-invasive, privacy-protected, and highly accurate thermal scanning technology for breast cancer detection, developed by NIRAMAI Health Analytix, Bangalore. This advanced method attracted around 250 women participants, who benefitted from the innovative screening process.
A dedicated team of ten doctors provided their services during the camp, ensuring professional care and guidance for all attendees.Speaking on the occasion, the organizers — Sahkar Bharati, Hamara Parivar, and Lyness Service Organisation, District DHC-1 — emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and early detection of diseases. They highlighted their commitment to service to humanity and environmental awareness, ensuring that healthcare facilities reach every section of society.
