Chandigarh 5 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Strengthening the Congress party in Punjab, senior leader Advocate Karanveer Singh Indora today joined the Indian National Congress in the presence of Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring. Karanveer Singh Indora, who has previously served as a member of the Scheduled Caste Commission Punjab, is a prominent figure from Muktsar and carries a strong political and social background. He is also the grandson of veteran leader Chaudhary Matu Ram, who served as MLA from Malout twice.
Along with him, key associates including Bunty Indora also joined the party, expressing faith in the leadership of Raja Warring and the vision of the Congress party. Welcoming them into the party fold, Raja Warring said that experienced and grassroots-connected leaders joining Congress will further strengthen the party at the grassroots level and help in serving the people of Punjab more effectively.
He added that the Congress party continues to grow as a strong alternative in Punjab, with more leaders and workers showing confidence in its policies and leadership.
