AAP Government Failed to Recover Thousands of Crores in GMADA Dues : Balbir Sidhu S.A.S.Nagar 16 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Former Punjab Health Minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu has questioned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, stating that while it continues to burden Punjab with increasing debt, it has completely failed to recover outstanding government dues from major real estate developers. Sidhu said that nearly 20 real estate promoters have failed to pay more than ₹1,000 crore in government dues. All these projects are located in Mohali and fall under the jurisdiction of GMADA. Most notably, the list of defaulters reportedly includes Janta Land Promoters, linked to AAP MLA Kulwant Singh from Mohali, with outstanding dues of approximately ₹152 crore. Education Department employees march towards Chief Minister's residence, police block road near Nature Park behind Burail Jail S.A.S.Nagar May 31( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : On Sunday, Education Department employees marched towards Chandigarh to surround Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's official residence with other legitimate demands including restoration of Punjab scale, old pension and allowances, but Mohali and Chandigarh Police blocked the path of the protesters by erecting barricades near Nature Park in Mohali behind Burail Jail. Due to which tension increased due to the scuffle between the police and employees. Education Department employees had gathered in front of Gurdwara Amb Sahib at 11 am today under the banner of Old Scale, Old Pension and Allowance Restoration Morcha.
