He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. The Ludhiana MP made a strong case for providing debt relief to the small and marginal farmers through one time settlement by waiving off their interests. Chandigarh 27 November ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : On the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, known as "Hind Di Chadar" (the ninth Guru), the Navya Bharat Foundation (NBF Bharat) provided special langar and other assistance to needy patients and their families at the Gurdwara of PGI Chandigarh under the "Mission Akshaya Patra" initiative.
On this occasion, Dr. Aniruddh Uniyal, Founder and National President of NBF, said that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was the epitome of justice and sacrifice, and that the Guru's sacrifice will remain an inspiration for all ages. He called on all countrymen to follow the path shown by the Guru Sahiban.
