He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. The Ludhiana MP made a strong case for providing debt relief to the small and marginal farmers through one time settlement by waiving off their interests. Chandigarh 2 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In a proud moment of achievement and sporting excellence, the athletes of 13 Battalion CRPF brought laurels to the Force by securing the Overall 1st Runner-Up position among 247 CRPF Battalions in the prestigious Track & Field and Cross Country competitions. The remarkable success reflects the battalion’s dedication to fitness, discipline, and competitive spirit fostered under the inspiring leadership of Commandant Smt. Kamal Sisodiya. Demonstrating exceptional athletic capability, the team achieved an impressive medal tally of 4 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals, and 1 Bronze Medal, marking one of the finest performances by the battalion in recent sporting events.

Among the standout performers, Ct/GD Santosh Kumar delivered an extraordinary performance by winning two Gold Medals in Long Jump and High Jump, along with a Silver Medal in the 4×100m Relay. Ct/GD Lalit added glory by securing a Gold Medal in Shot Put and a Silver Medal in the 4×100m Relay. Ct/GD Gunturi Prashant Varma showcased remarkable skill by earning a Silver Medal in High Jump, while Ct/GD Sumit Kumar contributed significantly with a Bronze Medal in Shot Put and a Silver Medal in the 4×100m Relay. Ct/GD Niku Moni Nath also played a vital role in the team’s success by winning a Silver Medal in the 4×100m Relay, highlighting the battalion’s strong teamwork and coordination.

The achievement stands as a testament to the continuous encouragement and visionary leadership of Commandant Kamal Sisodiya, who has consistently promoted sports as an essential pillar of physical readiness and mental resilience. Recognizing the athletes’ dedication and hard work, she personally felicitated the medal winners and team members by awarding commendation certificates and track suits as tokens of appreciation and motivation.

Addressing the personnel, Sisodiya emphasized that sporting excellence strengthens confidence, unity, and operational efficiency, encouraging all ranks to pursue fitness and discipline alongside professional duties.
