Proud Moment for Chandigarh at IndiaSkills National Competition 2025–26
Chandigarh 08 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Chandigarh has brought laurels at the prestigious IndiaSkills National Competition 2025–26, held at Greater Noida, reaffirming its growing excellence in skill development and vocational training. The national-level competition witnessed participation from more than 600 students representing 36 States and Union Territories across 63 skill trades, making it one of the largest skill competitions in the country.
Outstanding Achievements: Sahil Garg secured the Gold Medal in Web Designing Skill Trade along with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000. Aman Shukla won the Silver Medal in Visual Merchandising Skill Trade along with a cash prize of ₹75,000.
Adding to this success, Chandigarh also earned three Medallions of Excellence: Bhuvan Sharma – Bakery, Geetansh Kochhar – Hotel Reception, Farman Khan – Cloud Computing
This remarkable achievement has been accomplished under the able guidance of Mission Director Nitish Singla, PCS, along with the dedicated team comprising Dr. Sunita Mehta, Overall, Nodal Officer, IndiaSkills Competitions 2026; RO Charanjeet Singh Sindhu; Team Leaders Ashwani, Renu Gulati, S. S. Rao, Tarun, Sacharu and other team members.
This success would not have been possible without the valuable contributions and unwavering support of Dr. Manpreet Gujral, Dr. Surender Singh Saini, M.L. Rana, Vin Dosanj, Arun Gupta, Rajan Dogra, all Principals, Nodal Officers and Skill Incharges of CCET (Degree & Diploma Wing), GPW, GITI, GITIW, CSIO, GCA, AIHM, and CIHM, as well as the Account functionaries of the DTE Department.
These achievements reflect the dedication, talent, and hard work of the students, along with the continuous support and guidance provided by trainers and mentors. Chandigarh’s performance highlights its commitment to nurturing skilled youth and contributing to the national skilling mission led by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the National Skill Development Corporation.
