CM should clarify on charges : Warring
Says, his silence will only lend credence to charges against him
Regrets that sanctity of the house has been compromised
Chandigarh 1 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should himself clarify on the charges leveled against him by the opposition inside the house. Replying to a question on the issue, during an informal interaction with reporters here today, Warring said, since the allegations have been leveled directly against the Chief Minister, he should himself clarify. “What is the big deal in his coming forward and rejecting the opposition charges?” he asked, while adding, his silence will lend credence to the opposition charges against him.
Warring regretted that it was sad, unfortunate and shameful as what happened in the house as the sanctity of the house had been compromised. “This has hurt the image of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat”, he remarked. He said, the onus of maintaining the sanctity and dignity of the house lies on the Chief Minister, as he also happens to be the Leader of the House. “IF the Leader of the House will not maintain the dignity and decorum of the house, who else will?” he asked.
