Chandigarh 2 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh strongly condemned the FIR registered against Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak and the politically motivated action carried out against the business establishments of MP Rajinder Gupta. He said that these actions are entirely driven by a sense of vendetta. Chugh said that a deep sense of resentment has taken root in the minds of the people of Punjab against the AAP government, and it is out of this frustration, despair, and fear that political opponents are now being targeted.
Chugh said that the very individual who until yesterday was a key face of the AAP organisation has suddenly been branded a criminal today. Chugh added that this is the biggest proof of AAP’s double standards and its declining credibility. He said that out of fear of the truth coming out, the government is misusing state machinery and using FIRs as a weapon to suppress voices.
Chugh said that similar actions were taken against leaders who recently left AAP, which clearly shows that there is no space for dissent within the party. Chugh added that the people of Punjab will not be intimidated by such tactics and will give a strong and fitting reply in the times to come.
