Chandigarh 2 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Minerva Academy FC have successfully secured qualification for the final rounds of the AIFF Sub-Junior League after an outstanding performance in the playoff rounds held in Mahabalipuram. The defending champions showcased their class and consistency by registering three consecutive victories against strong opposition. Minerva began their campaign in emphatic fashion with a commanding 7–2 victory over Techtro Lucknow FC. Facing a side that had qualified for the playoff stage for the first time, Minerva displayed their experience and dominance throughout the match. While Techtro Lucknow’s qualification marks a significant step in their development, Minerva underlined the gap in experience at this level with a clinical performance.
In the opening match, Lanchanba Meetei led the scoring with a brilliant brace, while Mamesh Laisram, Mukhtar Rahman, Bickson, and Araav Krishna each added a goal to complete the seven-goal tally. The performance set the tone for Minerva’s campaign, highlighting their attacking depth and control.
