Warring questions Punjab govt contrary statements on blasts
Asks CM, why he has not registered FIR against BJP over his claims
Chandigarh 7 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today questioned the contrary statements by the Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann and the Director General of Police Guarav Yadav over the two bomb blasts which took place in Jalandhar and Amritsar.
Warring pointed out, while the Chief Minister alleged that the blasts were the handiwork of the BJP ahead of the elections, the DGP had said that the ISI was behind these blasts in the state. “People of Punjab want to know who is correct-CM or the DGP”, he said.
The PCC president noted that it was a highly serious and sensitive matter, which cannot be brushed aside in the political blame game. He said, it was not for the first time that such blasts had taken place in Punjab as earlier also police stations were attacked and train tracks were also blasted.
He asked the Chief Minister why his government has not registered an FIR against the BJP, after alleging that the party was behind these blasts. Moreover, he wondered how the DGP who directly reports to the Chief Minister could contradict him (the CM)?
