Chugh makes fervent appeal to Punjabis to go the Bengal way
Chandigarh 9 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Friday made a fervent appeal to Punjabis that the way Bengalis have reposed faith and trust in the BJP, they should also take BJP to similar heights in Punjab to save the border state from anti-national forces. Addressing a gathering of BJP workers, Chugh asserted that Punjab stands at a critical crossroads and requires a "decisive change" to rescue it from the grip of gangsters and mafias who have ruined the state.
He maintained that only a "double-engine government"—with the BJP at the helm in both the Centre and the state—could restore Punjab’s lost glory Drawing a parallel with the BJP's rising graph in West Bengal, Chugh stated that the people of Punjab deserve a government committed to the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.”
He emphasized that the state’s current trajectory necessitates an administration capable of making it Drug-free and Gangster-free: Eradicating the organized crime and substance abuse syndicates. Corruption-free: Ensuring transparent governance and accountability.Fear-free: Bolstering law and order to provide a secure environment for all citizens. Highlighting the achievements of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union Government, Chugh credited the PM for working tirelessly to strengthen national security and moving India toward a future free from terrorism and Naxalism.
Shifting focus to the agrarian crisis, the BJP leader sought to dispel concerns over the party's stance on farmers. He pointed toward the neighboring BJP-led Haryana government as a model of success. "The Haryana government is procuring 24 crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This is a clear reflection of the BJP’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the interests of the farming community," Chugh remarked. Chugh concluded his address by appealing to the youth, traders, and women of Punjab, stating that the state is yearning for a stable, development-oriented government. He urged the people to "pave the way for a secure and progressive future" by taking the BJP to new heights in the state's political landscape.
