Kharar 17 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A strong protest was held in Kharar constituency under the leadership of District Congress Committee Mohali President Kamal Kishore Sharma against the hike in petrol and diesel prices by the BJP’s Modi government. On this occasion, Congress leaders, workers and a large number of common people participated and raised slogans against the central government and expressed their anger on the issue of inflation. Addressing the protest, District President Kamal Kishore Sharma said that due to the wrong policies of the Modi government, the common man is suffering under the brunt of inflation today. Due to the rising prices of petrol and diesel, the prices of daily necessities from transport to daily necessities are also increasing continuously, which is affecting every class.
He said that the central government had made big promises to the people to reduce inflation, but today the situation is the opposite. The life of the poor, laborers, farmers and the middle class has become difficult. He alleged that the government is busy in providing benefits to corporate houses while no attention is being paid to the problems of the common people. Kamal Kishore Sharma said that the Congress party has always stood as the voice of the people and the struggle for the rights of the people will continue in the future. He warned that if the government does not take any concrete step soon to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel, the Congress party will launch a larger movement.On this occasion, Mahila Congress Committee Mohali President Swaranjit Kaur, District Congress Committee Vice President Vishal Battu, Vice President District Mohali Dr. Raghveer Singh Bangar, Senior Congress leader Gurinder Singh Kairon, Social Media Incharge Sarabhjit Kaur, Vikas Kapoor, Jaspal Singh, City Congress Committee Secretary Babu Singh Pamor, Rachpal Singh Neeta, Manjit Kaur Sonu, Varinder Bhama, Nirmal Singh Harlalpur, Manjit Singh Batra, Advocate Narinder Singh and Romi Dashmesh Nagar were present.
