Installation of CCTV Cameras Begins in Village Itawa; Security Enhanced with 36 Cameras
Chandigarh 26 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : It is a matter of great joy and celebration for the residents of Village Itawa that the work of installing CCTV cameras within the village has officially commenced. Four cameras have already been installed on Stadium Road, near Chintpurni Hardware. Additionally, four cameras have been installed near the Gurdwara Sahib, and another four have been placed near Batra Kirana Store. A total of 36 CCTV cameras are scheduled to be installed in Village Itawa, and the entire project is expected to be completed shortly. The installation of these cameras will significantly bolster the village's security infrastructure and enable effective surveillance of all activities taking place within the area.
On this occasion, the villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Member of Parliament (MP), Manish Tiwari, who facilitated the provision of these CCTV cameras for Village Itawa using his MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) funds. The villagers remarked that this initiative by the MP is a commendable step towards transforming the village into a modern and secure community.Today, representing the Gurdwara Sahib, Jasbir Singh Jassi, Jagtar Singh Madre, and Jagtar Singh Pappu inspected the various locations where the cameras are being installed. During the inspection, the contractor provided assurances that high-quality, state-of-the-art cameras would be installed, thereby ensuring effective surveillance across the entire region.On this same occasion, the residents of Village Itawa also extended their special thanks to their local Councilor and former Senior Deputy Mayor, Jasbir Singh Bunty. The villagers stated that, thanks to his tireless efforts and developmental initiatives, both the physical landscape and the future prospects of Village Itawa are undergoing a positive transformation. They noted that he has spared no effort in the development, beautification, and enhancement of basic amenities for both the village and its market area—contributions for which the entire region remains deeply grateful. Welcoming this project, the villagers hailed it as a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to ensure the village's security, foster its development, and provide it with modern amenities.
