Rashtriya Kranti Party (Ambedkar) Announces Unconditional Support for Shiromani Akali Dal
Chandigarh 11 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Rashtriya Kranti Party (Ambedkar) has announced its full support for the Shiromani Akali Dal in the upcoming municipal corporation and assembly elections. Today, the party's National President, Sardar Singara Singh Kalyan, accompanied by his core committee, met with the President of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Sukhbir Singh Badal, and assured him of the party's complete cooperation. Sanjeev Talwar, the *Halqa* (Constituency) In-charge for Hoshiarpur, played a pivotal role in facilitating this political alliance.
Speaking on the occasion, Singara Singh Kalyan stated that the Valmiki community could never fully repay the debt owed for the historic work undertaken by the late Parkash Singh Badal for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, particularly the Valmiki community. He remarked, "By extending our support to the Shiromani Akali Dal, we offer a political tribute to the services rendered by Sardar Badal." He further urged Sukhbir Singh Badal to make special efforts during the tenure of the next Akali government to ensure the social and political upliftment of the Mazhabi Sikhs, thereby securing a place of dignity for this backward community.
Welcoming this support, Sukhbir Singh Badal stated that the Shiromani Akali Dal has always welcomed people from all religions and communities. He noted that as the Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal (Ashram) in Amritsar approaches its 10th anniversary, the support extended by the Rashtriya Kranti Party at this juncture would further empower the party in its mission to serve society. He gave his assurance that the Akali Dal would always remain committed to serving this community.
Also present on this occasion were former MLA N.K. Sharma; Rajinder Atwal (National Vice President); Deepak Ghai (National General Secretary); Vikas Hans (Punjab President); and members of the Core Committee of the Rashtriya Kranti Party (Ambedkar).
Additionally, several prominent leaders and party workers from the Doaba, Majha, and Malwa regions of Punjab attended the event.
