Right to business era to begin in Chandigarh : Rahul Sharma
Chandigarh 28 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Rahul Sharma said that the UT Administration’s recommendation to adopt the Punjab Right to Business Act would prove to be a historic step for Chandigarh’s economy and entrepreneurial ecosystem. He stated that this initiative marks a significant shift towards making Chandigarh a more business-friendly and investment-driven city.
Rahul Sharma highlighted that more than 65,164 units are currently operating in Chandigarh’s MSME sector, providing employment to nearly 4,68,626 people. He said that the implementation of provisions such as “deemed clearance” would help industries and businesses overcome unnecessary administrative delays and encourage fresh investments in the city.
“We are providing legal protection to the movement of capital. This step will transform Chandigarh into a seamless hub for employment generation and industrial expansion,” he said. Expressing confidence in the initiative, Rahul Sharma added that the move would play a crucial role in positioning Chandigarh among the most entrepreneur-friendly cities in the country.
