SAD files complaint against Majitha DSP Kamalmeet Singh for misbehaving with SAD MLA

Chandigarh 20 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today filed a complaint against Majitha DSP Kamalmeet Singh for misbehaving with party legislator Ganieve Kaur Majithia and demanded his immediate transfer and initiation of disciplinary action against him. Talking to the media after submitting a complaint in this regard to State Election Commission Raj Kamal Chaudhary, SAD Chief Spokesman Arshdeep Singh Kler disclosed that the DSP had misbehaved with the MLA of the constituency and acted like an agent of the AAP halqa incharge. He said the video of the officers misbehaviour was already in public domain. He said that it was shocking to see that even before scrutiny of nomination papers of candidates for MC elections, this DSP declared the result of scrutiny though he had nothing to do with administrative work which was the responsibility of the SDM.
In his complaint, Kler said on the day of scrutiny, candidates and representatives of different political parties were forced to wait till 2.00 PM in scorching heat conditions and SDM cum returning officer displayed list of result of scrutiny at 8.00 PM. He said in stark contrast AAP candidates declared themselves ‘elected unopposed’ at 6.00 PM much ahead of formal declaration of result of scrutiny.
He said it was clear that the DSP was taking orders from the AAP halqa incharge and that the election machinery had totally collapsed in the area like other parts of the state. He urged the SEC to prevent officers from doing illegal works on the orders of the AAP leaders failing which the SAD would take them to court. Responding to a media query, the SAD leader said that AAP leader Manish Sisodia had openly declared to use ‘saam, daam dand bhed’ to snatch power again in the State and that this policy was being implemented in the municipal elections.
