Completing Biometric Aadhaar Authentication by June 30 for LPG Customers
Chandigarh 5 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The State Level Coordinator has appealed to all LPG consumers who have not yet completed Biometric Aadhaar Authentication (BAA), to do so by 30 June 2026, in accordance with directions issued by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.The initiative is aimed at ensuring targeted delivery of LPG subsidies to genuine beneficiaries and maintaining an accurate consumer database. Consumers who have never undergone biometric authentication after obtaining their LPG connection are required to complete the eKYC process through the IndianOil One app for IOC and HP PAY for HPC and HelloBPCL for BPC or contact their LPG Delivery Boy or visit their LPG Distributorship.
Consumers are advised that failure to complete BAA within the stipulated timeline may result in withholding of LPG subsidy benefits, said Ashutosh Gupta, Executive Director & State Head, IOCL Punjab State office & State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry for Punjab. He added that subsidies kept in abeyance during the prescribed period will be released upon successful completion of authentication within the specified timeframe. However, if the consumer does not complete the BAA by the prescribed deadline, the withheld subsidy shall lapse, and no subsidy will be admissible for refills thereafter until authentication is completed. Any restoration of subsidy after authentication will be prospective only, and no subsidy will be paid for the intervening period. PSU Oil Marketing Companies clarify that LPG refill supplies will continue uninterrupted, and no consumer will be denied LPG refills for want of biometric authentication.
