Warring disassembles broom to register protest against worker’s arrest Condemns AAP for authoritarian reaction over disassembling of broom Says, not broom, AAP will disassemble in any case by year end  TANDA (HOSHIARPUR) 6 June ( PDL ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today led his party workers in disassembling a broom as a mark of defiance and protest against the Aam Aadmi Party government jailing one of the party workers earlier for alleged disrespect to broom. Warring also met the party worker Ashrdeep and his family members here today. Arshdeep had been arrested by the Punjab Police on the charges of “disrespecting” broom, the party symbol of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party. Warring expressed solidarity with Arshdeep and his family telling them the entire rank and file of the party stood by him. Harvinder Pal Singh elected President of Physically Handicapped Association; Harmesh Kumar Kuradi appointed Chairman

Chandigarh 03 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A meeting of the Physically Handicapped Association, Punjab and Chandigarh, was held today at the Community Centre, Sector 41, to elect office bearers of the organization. Harvinder Pal Singh was unanimously elected as President, replacing Vinod Nagpal.

In addition, Veena Devi was appointed as District Secretary, Amritjeet Singh as Joint Secretary, Ravinder Singh as Treasurer, Ramesh Kumar as Press Secretary, and Ravi as Advisor. Rakesh Dhiman, Kulwant Kaur, Rinku Sharma, Arun Kumar, Surinder Singh, and Avtar Singh were appointed as Executive Members. Finally, all elected members unanimously appointed Harmesh Kumar Kuradi as Chairman.

During the meeting, newly elected President Harvinder Pal Singh and Chairman Harmesh Kumar Kuradi stated that they would effectively raise the issues of persons with disabilities before the Chandigarh Administration. They also held detailed discussions with the members regarding their challenges and rights, assuring them of continuous efforts to ensure effective implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 in Chandigarh.
