New twist in Sector-32 businessman suicide case
Complainant says complaint against Prem Bisht was made in an emotional state, claims he had no role
Chandigarh 19 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A fresh turn has emerged in the suicide case of a Sector-32 businessman, Raj Kumar, who allegedly consumed a poisonous substance around 20 days ago. In his suicide note, Raj Kumar had named financier Prem Bisht and retired Chandigarh Police Sub-Inspector Satish Nagar.
However, the deceased’s son and complainant, Anish, has now denied any involvement of Prem Bisht in the matter. Anish has submitted an affidavit to the SSP, DSP, and SHO stating that the complaint against Bisht was made in an emotional state and that Bisht had no role in the incident. He, however, maintained his allegations against retired Sub-Inspector Satish Nagar.
Anish stated that Prem Bisht never pressured or harassed his father in any manner. Earlier, Sector-34 police had registered a case against both Prem Bisht and Satish Nagar based on Anish’s complaint.
Background of the Case
According to the original complaint filed by Anish, he, his brother, and their father Raj Kumar jointly ran a fast-food business in Sector-32 market. He alleged that accused Satish Nagar and some others had financial dealings with his father. A few weeks before the incident, the accused allegedly called Raj Kumar and forcibly took away his Creta car.
Anish claimed that his father was humiliated by the accused persons. When family members later asked Raj Kumar about the car, he reportedly remained silent. On April 29, 2026, Satish Nagar allegedly again called Raj Kumar and abused him over the phone. The next evening, around 8 PM, Raj Kumar went to a nearby park and allegedly consumed poison, leading to his death.
