Public Health Workers Union holds gate meeting with employees of Water Works Sector-39
Chandigarh 2 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Malkit Singh, President, Public Health Workers Union, Chandigarh, said that a gate meeting was organized today by the Public Health Worker Union with the employees of Water Works, Sector-39. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the pending demands of the employees.
The major demands included bringing all contractual and outsourced employees under the Kaushal Rozgar Yojana on the lines of Govt. of Haryana, ensuring timely payment of salaries to all employees, rectifying anomalies in few posts under DC rates, recruiting relievers for tube wells, expediting the settlement of pension cases of retired employees, providing jobs to the legal heirs of deceased employees, and filling all vacant posts.
The meeting was addressed by Union President Malkit Singh, Vice President Sukhwant Singh, Secretary Jasbir Singh, Vice President Surinder Singh, CITU leaders Sohan Singh and Balvir Singh, Shiv Murat from the Education Department, and union members Prabh Singh, Rajat Kumar, Kala Ram, Gurpreet Singh, along with other members.
