He also demanded Rs 50 crore to Rs 70 crores annual research grant for the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to improve the research facilities for better agriculture. The initiative continues to support farmers by offering free machinery access, technical guidance, and on-ground assistance to manage paddy stubble responsibly across nearly 2,000 acres in the villages in and around Barnala district, Punjab. Implemented through its dedicated CSR wing Trident Foundation, the initiative addresses one of North India’s most persistent environmental challenges - open-field stubble burning. By facilitating scientific stubble processing and promoting responsible residue management.
