Sikhlens: Sikh Arts and Film Festival 2026 on Saturday in Presence of British and Czech Representatives; 41 Artists to be Honoured, 25 Films to be Screened
Chandigarh 27 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The much-anticipated Sikhlens Arts and Film Festival will be held on Saturday at Tagore Theatre , bringing international prestige and participation to the event. This year’s festival will witness the presence of Sikhlens Festival Directors — Ojaswwee Sharma (India), Bicky Singh (USA), Gurpreet K. Singh (USA), Nikki Gill (Canada), and Harinder Singh (UK). Among the distinguished guests will be Bal Choda, Lead Engineer and innovator associated with Aston Martin, and hockey legend Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, Uganda and Munich Olympian.
British representation will add further significance to the occasion. British Deputy High Commissioner for Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chandigarh, will grace the event. Representing the Czech Republic, Honorary Consul for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Chandigarh, will attend as Special Guest. From the religious and social sphere, Tejwant Singh Gill, President of Gurudwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Sector 34, Chandigarh, will lend a spiritual dimension to the gathering.
The festival will feature screenings of 25 films celebrating Sikh heritage, identity, and global stories. On the occasion, 41 artists will be conferred the “Seva – Sarbat Da Bhala – Chardi Kala” Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to art, culture, and humanitarian service. According to Festival Director, Ojaswwee Sharma, the festival aims not only to showcase Sikh heritage and values on a global platform but also to inspire youth toward positivity, service, and community engagement.
