Valour Day celebrated at Det HQ of 13th Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force
Chandigarh 09 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Valor Day was celebrated today in a dignified and patriotic atmosphere at the 13th Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force's headquarters in Sector 43. On this occasion, floral tributes were first offered to the brave martyrs at the Martyrs' Memorial, paying emotional tribute to their unparalleled courage, sacrifice, and self-denial.
As part of the program, a salute was given at the Quarter Guard to Commandant Kamal Sisodiya, Commandant of 13th Battalion. Following this, at the military conference held, the Commandant addressed the officers and soldiers, highlighting the significance of Shaurya Diwas and inspiring all personnel to uphold the highest ideals of duty, discipline, and service to the nation.
On this occasion, special honors were given to the battalion's gallant personnel who were awarded the Police Medal for their bravery and distinguished service. Furthermore, other personnel who performed outstanding work were presented with commendation letters and awards to boost their morale.
The soldiers enthusiastically participated in the cultural programme organised in the evening and gave the message of unity, brotherhood and patriotism through patriotic songs and presentations, due to which the entire atmosphere was filled with the colours of patriotism. This event not only became an occasion to remember the sacrifice of the martyrs, but also proved to be a strengthening factor in the feeling of pride, inspiration and unwavering dedication towards national service among all the personnel of the battalion.
