A delegation from Sahakar Bharti Chandigarh met the Honorable Governor, Gulab Chand Kataria
Chandigarh 28 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A delegation of Sahkar Bharti Chandigarh, under the leadership of State President Lakshman Singh Rawat, met Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria.
State President Lakshman Rawat and State General Secretary Neeraj Makkar held an in-depth discussion with the Hon’ble Governor regarding cooperative affairs and apprised him of the challenges being faced in the cooperative sector in Chandigarh.
Rawat brought to the notice of the Hon’ble Governor that very limited work has been done in the field of cooperatives in Chandigarh during the last nearly 20 years. He stated that Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah are making dedicated efforts to connect the entire nation with the cooperative movement and fulfill the vision of “Prosperity through Cooperation.”
Rawat further requested the Hon’ble Governor to guide and strengthen the cooperative movement in Chandigarh, considering his vast experience in the field of cooperatives. In this regard, Sahkar Bharti Chandigarh is planning to organize a seminar in the month of July. The Hon’ble Governor graciously consented to guide the seminar. The delegation included State President Shri Lakshman Singh Rawat, State General Secretary Shri Neeraj Makkar, Shri Ankit Jain, Shri Rajeev Kumar Goyal, Shri Sanjay Kochar, Women Wing Head Rozy and Neetu Sachdeva.
