DPS Mohali Visit to Verka Plant
S.A.S.Nagar 7 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Interact Club of DPS Mohali in collaboration with Rotary Club Midtown Mohali organized an educational industrial visit for the students of Class VIII to Verka Milk processing factory, phase 6, Mohali on 7th May 2026, as part of its initiative to promote experiential and practical learning among students.The visit provided students with an opportunity to understand the journey of milk from collection to packaging and distribution. During the tour, students closely observed important processes involved in dairy production, especially the process of pasteurization, along with various hygiene and quality control measures followed in the industry.
Factory experts explained the functioning of different processing units and demonstrated how milk is tested, processed, refrigerated, packaged, and transported for safe consumption. Students also gained knowledge about modern machinery and scientific techniques used in the dairy sector. The activity helped students connect theoretical concepts of science with real-life industrial practices while enhancing their curiosity, observation skills, and awareness about food safety and preservation. The visit was informative, interactive, and greatly enjoyed by the students.
