Faridkot 25 May (Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal): The Faridkot district organization of the Puran Surjit Akali Dal has submitted mass resignations from its primary membership along with its complete posts today. The leaders who resigned today include Pritpal Singh Kohli (District Senior Vice President Urban), Gurjant Singh Sirsari (District Senior Vice President), Sewak Singh Khalsa (District General Secretary), Veer Singh Kotkapura (Vice President Urban), Jagdev Singh (Circle President City-2) and Bhai Jaswant Singh Head Granthi Faridkot (District Senior Vice President) Taranjot Singh Kohli Delegate.
Before resigning, the leaders extended greetings to the entire Sikh community on Sirhind Fateh Diwas. On this occasion, Pritpal Singh Kohli said that the history of the Sikh community has always been a history of struggle against oppression and oppression and today is a proud day for the entire Sikh community.
The leaders who resigned said that after the orders from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, there was great hope for the revival of the Panth and the representative party of Punjab, the Shiromani Akali Dal. He said that it was hoped that the party would revive its proud history and move forward towards panthic leadership.
The leaders complained that the freedom and ability to take decisions has been affected due to the siege imposed on party president Giani Harpreet Singh, who is an influential personality with panthic thinking, by some special political people. He said that the workers have been going through a period of disappointment for a long time due to the fact that most of the workers were not heard within the party. The leadership was approached many times regarding the feelings and suggestions of the workers, but due to continuous neglect, the entire organization decided to resign jointly by holding an urgent meeting today.
It is worth noting that earlier, the District Urban President of Faridkot district, Manpreet Singh Bholuwala, had also resigned. After this, yesterday, Advocate Joginder Singh Brar (Legal Cell), Advocate Karamjit Singh Bhangewala (Legal Cell), Laljit Singh Jatana Jhotiwala (District General Secretary), Baldev Singh Numberdar (Vice President Urban) and Amardeep Singh Brar (Circle President Kotkapura Urban) also resigned. Due to the continuous resignations during the last two days, the position of the Puran Surjit Akali Dal in Faridkot district has become very weak and the party is being pushed towards the margins.
