Big Boost for Congress in Manimajra Ward No. 5: Social Worker Pradeep Gautam Joins Congress Family with Hundreds of Supporters
Chandigarh 20 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee received a major boost today when prominent social worker from Manimajra Ward No. 5, Shri Pradeep Gautam, arrived at the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35, Chandigarh, amidst the resounding beats of dhol-nagadas, along with hundreds of his supporters. Inspired by the policies and ideology of the Congress Party, he formally joined the party, expressing his deep faith in the party leadership, high command, State President H.S. Lucky, and Member of Parliament Manish Tewari. On this occasion, the President of the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee, Harmohinder Singh Lucky, welcomed Pandit Pradeep Gautam by presenting him with the party symbol, the Congress scarf (patka), and a garland of flowers, officially making him a part of the Congress family. A large number of prominent dignitaries and workers who accompanied him also joined the Congress Party.
Welcoming all the new members, State President H.S. Lucky stated that the Congress Party always honors those who continuously work for social service and public rights. He remarked that the joining of such a large number of people from the Manimajra area reflects the public's trust and the party's strengthening hold on the ground. He specially lauded senior Congress leader and Secretary Shri Imran Mansoori for this successful joining, noting that his continuous hard work, public relations, and efforts to strengthen the organization made this historic integration possible. Speaking on the occasion, senior Congress leader and former Mayor Surender Singh urged Pandit Pradeep Gautam to work towards strengthening the organization in Ward No. 5 so that the party becomes even stronger at the grassroots level. Imran Mansoori assured that all the new members joining the Congress Party would be given full respect, and the party would stand by them through thick and thin.State President Shri H.S. Lucky also arranged refreshments for all the new members and present workers.
